The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed today, with the composite index rising 68.46 points to 7052.36 points, an increase of 0.98%.
A total of 197.17 million shares worth 48.6 million dinars (about $148.2 million) were traded through 13,936 cash transactions.
The main market index rose 0.02 points to 5,924.26 points, with 55.4 million shares worth 8.2 million dinars (about $25 million) traded in 4,082 cash transactions.
The Premier Market index rose 89.90 points, or 1.18 percent, to 7,692.01, with 141.7 million shares traded in 9,854 deals worth 40.4 million dinars ($123.2 million).
The Main 50 index fell 3.34 points, or 0.06%, to 5,725.42, with 37.9 million shares worth 6.7 million dinars ($20.4 million) traded in 2,817 cash transactions.
