Today, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced that a fire broke out in a building in the Mangaff area of Ahmadi Governorate in southern Kuwait, killing more than 35 people and injuring 11 people. Kuwait.
Major General Eid Al-Owaihan, director of forensic evidence at the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry, said in a televised statement carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that 15 injured people had been taken to hospital, four of whom died, and the exact number would be determined after the required technical examinations were completed.
Al-Owaihan added: “We received a report about a fire in the Al-Mangaf area at 6am and we went to the scene of the incident, where the firefighting force brought the fire under control and then began to examine the fire under the supervision of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence, an emergency response team formed for this type of crisis.”
He said some of the injured had been transferred to several hospitals, noting that they had cooperated with the fire department and medical emergency departments, and that the identities of three people had been confirmed so far, while the identities of others were being confirmed.
There is no information yet on the cause of the fire.
