His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, signed the agreement today in Paris with His Royal Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the General Authority of Sports and the Olympic Committee of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in the field of sports.

The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Sports Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of sports, especially in the areas of sports investment and marketing, management, maintenance and operation of sports facilities, development of mechanisms for investment in sports facilities, establishment of academies, discovery of talents, training of sports cadres and their development, development of long-term plans for athletes, in addition to management and organization of sports events, including holding exhibitions, organization of championships and competitions, activation of community, women’s, Paralympic and martial arts sports, as well as cooperation in the professional fields of sports medicine and anti-doping.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Sports, through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, seeks to explore ways of cooperation with various parties at home and abroad to serve its goals of developing sports and achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
