The Israeli military acknowledged that a senior commander of its logistics support battalion was killed by Palestinian resistance forces in Gaza on Saturday.
Hours after the initial announcement, the occupation forces admitted to killing a soldier from the same unit.
The Quds Force disclosed their deaths in a statement today. “Both soldiers announced dead today were killed when fighters from Saraya Al-Quds detonated explosives under their vehicles in the suburb of Al-Zaytoun community in eastern Gaza City.”
Israeli news media also announced that 11 Israeli soldiers were injured in a “serious security incident” in Gaza, but did not provide further details.

Qassam Brigades (Hamas)
“Qassam militants detonated two anti-personnel bombs on two enemy jeeps and exchanged machine gun fire with the remaining soldiers, causing death and injury near Tal Al-Hawa Community University College in southern Gaza City. Our fighters saw helicopters landing for evacuation.

Quds Force (Islamic Jihad)
“We bombarded the Al-Rahme military base with rockets.
“Our fighters are engaged in fierce clashes with Zionist enemy forces on their advance route east of the Karara area, north of Khan Yunis city.
“We detonated a pre-prepared powerful ground explosive device against a Zionist military vehicle entering the vicinity of the Alyeen mosque in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
“The Zionist Army officially acknowledged the death of a second officer in the battle with Palestinian resistance forces in the central Gaza Strip. Both soldiers whose deaths were announced today were killed after fighters from Saraya Al-Quds detonated explosives under their vehicles in the suburbs of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.”

“In response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on steadfast villages and safe homes in southern Syria, especially the town of Al-Kfour, causing casualties among Syrian civilians, the Islamic Resistance fighters included the Ayelet HaShahar settlement in their firing plan on Saturday, August 17, 2024, and bombarded it with Katyusha rockets for the first time.
