South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit dismissed the chief administrator of his office on Monday evening and announced the appointment of a new administrator.
In a decree broadcast on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Kiir fired Yair Khural and announced Daniel Madit Malik as the new chief administrator of the presidential office.
It is not clear why the president fired Kule, a former convict serving time in Juba State Prison for misappropriating funds from the Office of the President while serving as its executive director.
Kuhl was only appointed Chief Administrative Officer of the Office of the President in December 2023.
