The company “Khaos Marani” is a family winery of the Daudishvili family, which was founded in 2013 in the city of Gurjany and has been expanding since then.
Eleven years ago, the company was designed to produce 400 tons of grapes, but now it produces 6,000 tons. With the support of the state plan and TBC, Chaos Marani continues to expand.
“The name ‘Khaos Marani’ is related to my father, a famous winemaker in our region. His father’s name was Khao and everyone knew his wine like that – Khaos Marani wine. When I decided to continue the family tradition and set up a wine factory in 2013, I didn’t think much about the name.
This is how we are today, my children and I lead the industry, of course we have professional wine technicians, and the factory staff is increasing year by year. Currently, there are 70 permanent employees, but we will increase the workforce during the grape harvest season”, says Gocha Daudishvili, founder of Khaos Marni.
The most active period for the enterprise is the harvest in Kakheti, when they start receiving grapes at the factory, which starts in August and lasts until the end of December. Although Kakhuri wines are predominant, “Khaos Marani” also produces Imer and Racha wines.
Khaos Maran produces about 30 varieties of traditional and European wines, and the most interesting thing is that most of them are sold in Georgia. As Gocha Daudishvili said, the most popular is Khaos Marni Rkatsiteli, with sales of about 100-110 tons per month.
“The mission of our winery is to produce natural, high-quality Georgian wines and other alcoholic products. Year by year we develop and produce wines of increasingly better quality. Our factory occupies 3 hectares, and we have our own wine cellar and cold storage. I put the quality and technology of Georgian wines first.” – Gocha Daudishvili.
Now “Khaos Maran” is waiting for the harvest, and 7 to 8 thousand tons of grapes will be received and processed this season. Although the quantity is small, it is still exported to Asian countries – China, Kazakhstan, etc. Gocha Daudishvili said that they are currently working on the use of new national markets, and in the future they hope to expand the export market and introduce “Chaos Winery” wines to European countries.
