(Atmosphere) – The Kelantan state assembly has declared the Nenggiri state seat held by Bersatu MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim vacant, paving the way for a possible by-election in the state.
The seat is declared vacant from today.
Aziz is also the Gua Musang MP.
Speaker Datuk Mohd Aman Nik Abdullah said the Nyingchi state seat was vacant in accordance with Article 31 of the state constitution.
“I announce today that the state assembly has been notified that the membership of Bersatu N45 assemblyman Mohd Azizi Abu Naim has been revoked.
“Accordingly, the state assembly declares the seat vacant and a notification to this effect will be submitted to the state election commission today,” he said at a press conference at his office today.
