The President was informed about the work being done to implement industrial projects and support domestic producers. Roman Sklyar said that in the first half of the year, the mining industry grew by 105.1%, the engineering industry grew by 9.4%, and the mining and metallurgical complex grew by 8.3%.
In addition, the head of state was briefed on the progress of projects related to the construction of oil and gas pipelines, the commissioning of gas processing plants and petrochemical production. So far this year, 44.7 million tons of condensate and 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been produced. By the end of this year, 128 settlements will have natural gas pipelines laid, and the level of blue fuel supply will reach 61.8%.
In addition, new infrastructure projects in the transport and energy sectors are reported.
Roman Sklyar informed the President about the progress of preparations for the heating season. Currently, 309 kilometers of the heating network are being renovated and repaired. This will cost about 154 billion tenge. In addition, 10 generators, 55 boilers and 45 steam turbines are planned to be repaired this year, with a total cost of 327 billion tenge.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the activities of the Committee for Attracting Investments, in particular large investment projects implemented together with foreign partners. Some of these agreements were concluded during the head of state’s visit.
Since the reorganization of the Council’s activities, outstanding issues on 77 investment projects have been resolved, with a total amount of about $40 billion. At the same time, special attention has been paid to high value-added projects in the fields of engineering, food and chemical industry, mining, metallurgical complex, energy, and underground resource utilization.
The President drew attention to the importance of the measures being taken and instructed to continue work in these areas.
