In terms of infrastructure aimed at further developing the Kalonji district, the Rubengela-Lambula road was rehabilitated and expanded by 15.15 kilometers. This was also done on a two-kilometer stretch of road in Kalonji town.

In order to facilitate business in the Kalonji district, a road connecting to the main road was built, the project cost more than 4.7 billion rubles.

The number of households with electricity increased fivefold from 12,321 in 2017 to 64,737 in 2023. A water supply pipeline was built, including a water treatment plant with a daily processing capacity of 2,000 cubic meters.


Kalonji has established five model villages in Rugabano, Murundi, Ruganda, Rwankuba and Mutuntu. As a result, 486 families have been resolved and another 1,521 have been freed from debt.

In terms of agriculture and breeding in Kalonji, the Livestock Breeding and Derivatives Development Project (PRISM) was implemented with a budget of Frw 341,242,820.

5,040 chickens were given to 504 households, 228 pigs were given to 191 households, and 250 goats were given to 125 households.


In terms of trade and commerce, the Kalonji Market is being built with a budget of $1.53 billion.

In the area of ​​health and well-being, Kibuye Hospital will be rehabilitated, a health centre will be built and 35 primary clinics will be established.

In education, 967 classrooms were built with a budget of more than 7.3 billion Frw. Five vocational and technical schools were also built with a budget of 234,989,550 Frw.


In the fight against poverty, 4,048 cows were donated under the Girinka scheme and 42,803 cows were employed under the VUP scheme.

A plant has been built in the area to supply cooking gas so residents will buy it at a lower price than elsewhere, and the issue will be resolved, according to candidate Uwimpaye Celestine.
