In a speech at Baghdad airport before his trip on Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi declared that “Iraq will not be a springboard to threaten its neighbors.”
Kadhimi was speaking before traveling to Saudi Arabia to attend a Jeddah summit with U.S. President Joe Biden and several Arab leaders and presidents.
The second day of Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia included attendance at the Gulf Summit, which was attended and participated in by the leaders of Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, to support and strengthen ongoing cooperation and coordination efforts among partners in light of current regional and international developments.
