K Group is withdrawing one lot of its Pirkka Salad Seed Mix and Pirkka Pumpkin Seeds from sale due to the presence of salmonella in surveillance testing, the company said in a news release Monday.
Furthermore, in the same study conducted by customs, aflatoxin levels exceeding the limit values set by EU legislation were found in K-Menu brand peanuts. Aflatoxin is a type of mycotoxin that can form in products under moist and warm conditions.
This product is hazardous to health and should not be used.
The recall affects the following products: Pirkka Salad Seed Mix 180 g (EAN code: 6410405127341, Best Before: March 29, 2025), Pirkka Pumpkin Seeds 175 g (EAN code: 6410405127327, Best Before: April 23, 2025) and K-Menu Peanuts 1 kg (EAN code: 6410405134905, Best Before: April 14, 2025).
The faulty batch of product has been removed from Korean grocery stores. Defective products that have been purchased need to be returned to K-ruokauppa. Products from batches marked with other dates are safe to use.
