In a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, the alliance said it “strongly rejects and condemns the remarks made by US Republican Senator Mike Waltz, in which he first insulted Iraq, the Supreme Judicial Council and especially its president, a precedent we have never seen before.”
She added: “The Iraqi press condemns these offensive statements and affirms its full support for the Iraqi judiciary, its head, Judge Faik Zeidan, and all other judicial institutions, as the Iraqi judiciary has become a symbol of the country’s unity, an important factor in its stability and a guardian of democracy and justice over the years.”
The coalition also said it “rejects interference in Iraq’s internal affairs and undermines its sovereignty, as thousands of Iraqis have sacrificed their lives for Iraq’s sovereignty over the past few years by opposing terrorism,” the statement said.
