The senators held discussions with leaders of the National Development Agency, RDB’s management, the private sector, PSF and the Kigali International Financial Centre, which helps companies bring investments to Rwanda.
The institutions met with a delegation of Jordanian senators, whose talks also focused on improving education and promoting business cooperation in the tourism sector.
The Jordanian senators are members of the Tourism Committee and the purpose of their visit is to improve relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of tourism, trade and investment.

On Tuesday, they held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olivier Nduhungirehe, after visiting the Rwandan Senate. They were received at the office of the President of the Rwandan Senate, Kalinda Francois Xavier.
The talks were aimed at improving mutually beneficial cooperation between Rwanda and Jordan.
The senators visited Rwanda, and at the end of June 2024, 40 Rwandans visited Jordan to learn from the country and establish ways of interaction between the two sides, which can be achieved in areas such as health and tourism, as some of Jordan’s fastest growing industries.

At the time, the group was led by Rugwizangoga Michaella, the director of the Tourism Department of the RDB Ministry of National Development, and included people from the Rwandan tourism sector, health sector, and traditional organizations such as religious organizations and churches in Rwanda.
All these events reinforce the first visit of King Abdullah II of Jordan to Rwanda in early 2024, which aims to strengthen the relations that continue to take root between the two countries.
At that time, the two sides signed cooperation agreements in many fields including agriculture, economy and trade, health, and medicine.

Jordan’s Minister of Tourism Makram Mustafa A. Queisi also visited later, announcing that Jordan and Rwanda would develop a joint plan to develop tourism based on culture, medicine and ethics.
Jordan and Rwanda are countries with strong relations based on an agreement signed in the past between the two sides, one of which eliminated visa fees for Rwandans who want to travel to Jordan.
