Mr. JRE (John) Soliano will be the new Governor of Bonaire. He has been nominated by Alexandra van Huffelen, State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization, to serve on the Council of Ministers.
John Soliano (52), born in Bonaire, has been Director of Operations and Support for Bonaire Public Entities since 2024. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as an independent consultant in the fields of personnel policy, organizational development, leadership and corporate governance. Prior to this, he worked for six years as a manager at Orco Bank Bonaire and as a director from 2012 to 2016, in charge of the restructuring of Bonaire Holding (BHM). He has held various positions as interim manager and HR manager at companies such as Bonaire Telecom (Telbo NV) and Bonaire Water and Energy (WEB).
Mr. Soliano studied Personnel and Labor at the University of Applied Sciences West Brabant and received his Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from the University of the West of England.
Mr. Soriano’s appointment as Governor of Bonaire will take effect on August 1, 2024.
