James O’Brien, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. State Department, commented on Armenia’s purchase of weapons from France.
“We hear that Armenia is buying weapons from France. Every country has the right to self-defense. We also see that Azerbaijan is moving in this direction,” said James O’Brien.
He said this showed there were issues with mutual trust, which was understandable given the 30-year conflict.
