The artist said Hollywood is currently preparing to shoot a film about Iraq that tells the true story of an Iraqi family that became trapped during the US occupation.

He revealed that the film will be shot between Iraq and Jordan and explained that he had been assigned to nominate Iraqi actresses to play roles in the film and he had sent a list and photos but the production company rejected them all because of plastic surgery.

“The production company rejected everyone because of plastic surgery and the lack of outstanding artists with natural faces, which forced him to nominate the faces of Iraqi women living abroad, and young names,” Altaei said in his “Stories” on the “Instagram” platform.

“A friend asked me to nominate actresses of a certain age for a Hollywood-made movie that tells a true story of an Iraqi family facing problems during the occupation, scheduled to be shot between the US and Jordan,” Iyad Al-Taei posted on his page.

He added: “As usual, I took out my phone, took out the photos and sent them, and surprisingly, they rejected all of them because they didn’t find a normal person or a face that hadn’t been plastic surgery in the photos. Surgeons! This is a great opportunity for us to jump in and say, “Apart from opportunities, water, greenery and beautiful faces, we are no different from you.”

“I had to ask for help from strange faces abroad and Iraqi women,” he continued, concluding: “I say there is nothing wrong with cleansing and refreshing the skin, but changing your appearance does not fit the same bill, that’s my opinion.”
