Independent Television Star Matthew Wright He shared that he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing “intense grinding pains” that put him in a “grim” situation.

Last month, he shared that he was experiencing “extraordinary” neck pain that forced him to be hospitalized, and late Sunday night (July 14), he posted an unfortunate health update to his fans on X/Twitter, and it looks like he’s had a relapse.

The broadcaster wrote: “Unbelievable. I am back in hospital with a severely irritated nerve and in excruciating pain. The medical staff are again doing an incredible job healing, but there is no solution in sight and frankly, things are a bit grim.”

Shortly afterwards, Wright revealed more about his condition, sharing: “Another fantastic NHS experience. More medicine, stronger medicine, and hopefully things will improve in the next few weeks.”

“I really hope so, because I’ve had enough. Thanks again for the well wishes.”

“I’m feeling ok – the pregabalin is working well, now the pain is just annoying and I don’t want to rip my head off anymore!” he wrote shortly before his condition worsened. “MRI tomorrow and steroids after a while. Hopefully this will work, thanks again for the love, I’ve never been in pain like this!”

He also said he might be forced to “pay for a nerve block medication in my neck next week or face months of pain”, adding: “Luckily I just sold my house… Not sure what other options I have.”

“Good luck Matthew, hope the injection works,” read another supportive message. “Hopefully this doesn’t keep you away from TV. Your weekend show is really great.”
