Zakaria Car Story – Tegeta Holding joins the support event
2024-07-24 12:49:23

“If we say this country is ours, then it is also our gain,” Zakaria Dolidze said. “Nice car” Six years ago, in a completely new context, the creator understood his responsibility to the country of care. Caring for homeless animals became the director’s main job, unplanned and almost by chance.
The story begins like this – Zakaria’s dog Valiko fell ill. In order to find information, the owner joined various Internet groups. Eventually, the dog recovered, and Zakaria discovered that countless homeless dogs were left on the streets due to health or other problems, without any care or hope. It was born to change this reality “Nice car in Zahara”– Zakaria has been sharing information about the needs of homeless animals with his audience on a social platform for years, showing up in his car whenever his help is needed.
Zakaria said that during these 6 years, he encountered many difficulties and obstacles, but he remained true to his idea. Although the need to move and transport goods in hard-to-reach areas determines the need for suitable vehicles, off-road conditions and bad weather cannot stop the desire to do good. Those who know about Zakaria’s good deeds also know the importance of continuing them. In the event of supporting Zakaria to buy a new “good car”, together with other companies, Tegita Holdings participate.
Tatia Khorbaladze, Head of Strategic Communications at Tegeta Holding: “Regarding society and the environment Caring is an important part of Tegeta’s corporate sustainability. Of course, we will not forget homeless animals, who are part of our society and environment. In this direction, we implement many projects together with different partners. Recently, we discovered “Zahara Kindness Car”, which, it turns out, has been working very actively in this direction for many years: it drives all over Georgia, takes care of homeless animals, builds homes for them and conduct awareness workshops for adults. We were impressed by his work and decided that Tegeta, which has always supported such activities that benefit the society, should also stand by Zakaria. The author of the “Good Car” project now has problems with his car. At Tegeta, we decided to contribute to raising funds to buy a new car for Zakaria and at the same time raise public awareness of his good deeds.
Our donation platform Tegita Care We want to tell as many people as possible about Zacharias so that he can achieve his goal, which means taking care of homeless animals, using more sites, building more homes, and bringing them to these areas.”.
Since the launch of GoodCar, Zakaria has traveled more than 280,000 kilometers in Georgia; approximately 1,600 homeless animals have been helped, housed, fed, and had their health problems resolved.
Zakaria Dolidze, creator of the “Kebili Car”: “I was looking for information and advice on how to treat my dog. Meanwhile, in these days, the group was systematically informed that the three-legged hemlock abandoned its puppies, who had to stay in the open air, in bad weather and in the mud. Many people shared the post, but it didn’t seem to really help. I could not rest. I remember that I was late for rehearsal, I came home, dismantled my parents’ old wardrobe and made something like a house. The emotions I felt at that time were incomparable to anything else. The dog first brought the puppies into the house one by one, then came over and put his nose to my feet and stopped for a few seconds. He expressed warmth and gratitude. I was so moved by the story that I wrote an article after I got home, which received a very positive response. The next stage, social platforms have been created, and strangers unite to do useful things.”
While caring for homeless animals, Zakaria systematically meets with teenagers in Tbilisi and other regions, holding workshops, telling stories, sharing experiences, helping them understand the importance of caring for the environment. They talk about history, values, tolerance, care and the power of love. He asks them this question at the beginning of the meeting: Do you think this country is yours? Sometimes the answer comes without hesitation, sometimes it comes only months after the meeting, when adults contact Zakaria themselves and share what they have done.
Zakaria said he flies with joy in moments like these, and that these moments nourish his drive — to remember and teach others that loving one’s country means caring for it together.
Zakaria also had an idea for an innovative stroller for disabled animals. The inspiration for creating this stroller came from an amputated dog, which, according to Zakaria, was nothing but healthy. From that day on, he began to think about how to help this dog. It took three months. He consulted with European veterinary clinics and created a wheelchair for personal use, which literally gave new life to hundreds of disabled animals. In addition to Georgia, you can find Zakaria strollers in neighboring countries, Europe and America.
The story of Zakaria’s Kind Car was also included in the eighth grade textbook “Me and Society”. He was reported by famous Georgian and international publications: Forbes, National Geographic, World Animals, etc.
He is currently working on a new, unprecedented project: the Vet Caravan, a mobile clinic that will travel across Georgia to spay, neuter and vaccinate homeless animals.
Zakaria’s kindness should not have stopped.
