Friendly Georgian people, as well as Ukrainians, realize that the fight for freedom and independence is worth it – this is the response of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to the speech distributed by his Georgian colleague Salome Zurabishvili on the occasion of Ukraine Independence Day.

“The ties between our peoples have always served the freedom, independence and prosperity of our country,” Zelensky wrote on the social platform X, responding to Salome Zurabishvili’s congratulations.

Let us remind everyone that the Georgian President, in his speech on Ukraine’s Independence Day, expressed Ukraine’s desire to free the country from occupation and restore peace. “I wish you progress in achieving your goals, which are also our common goals – to liberate your country from occupation, restore peace, and achieve full sovereignty and territorial integrity in your country. This is my wish for your country, this is my wish for my country, this is my wish for the European future of our two countries!” – the Georgian President said in his speech.
