The Ministry of National Defense expressed regret over the US Department of Defense’s announcement of an indefinite postponement of the multinational exercise “Worthy Partner 2024”.
According to the ministry, despite the postponement of the training, the above forms are still continuing, including preparations for the “Strong Spirit 2025” multinational training.
“The partnership between the United States of America and Georgia in the defense sector is decades old and is based on the shared interests and goals of our two countries.
It is regrettable that the US Department of Defense announced the indefinite postponement of the multinational exercise “Worthy Partner 2024”.
International exercises, including Worthy Partner 2024, are beneficial to Georgia and the United States of America, as well as participating partner nations, as they contribute to strengthening national defense capabilities, developing military personnel capabilities, improving professionalism and enhancing interoperability.
The U.S. Department of Defense and the Georgian Ministry of Defense have mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of national defense and security. Despite the postponement of the training, the above-mentioned cooperation is still continuing, including preparations for the multinational training “Strong Spirit 2025”.
