“Tegeta for Women” – a student mechanic training program has been launched

Tegita Academywithin the framework of the “Women Tegeta” project, a student mechanic training program was launched. The project provides women interested in this field with the opportunity to receive free theoretical and practical training and master a new profession. Ten students, selected by interview from about 40 candidates, began studying at the academy on August 19. After passing the theoretical course on the general structure of a vehicle, the participants of the program will master the practical part of their field of interest with the help of experienced instructors. The student mechanic training program of Tegeta Academy is the first program specifically for women. The training and internship phase lasts from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the field in question. In addition to theoretical training, the practical fields include vehicle repair and electrical diagnostics as well as fast service.

After that, the academy provides practical training at the “Tegeta Motors” service center, where program participants will have the opportunity to learn practical knowledge with experienced mentors according to the chosen direction. The choice of direction depends on the participants’ wishes on the one hand and on the abilities they have demonstrated during training on the other. Applicants will receive a monthly stipend during their theoretical and practical studies, and if they show appropriate skills, they will have the opportunity to get employed at Tegeta.
