Prisoners at Russia’s Surovkino Colony riot and take hostages, including a terrorist claiming to be an ISIS member, demanding a helicopter and $2 million

According to Russian media reports, prisoners at Colony No. 19 in the city of Surovkino in Russia’s Volgograd region rioted and took hostages.

According to the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service, the hostages were taken during a meeting of the Disciplinary Committee. According to preliminary information, the terrorists, who claimed to be members of the international terrorist organization “Islamic State” (ISIS) banned in Russia, killed at least three employees of the colony, injured several people and took them hostage.

According to the Telegraph channel, the prisoners demanded that the helicopter land on the territory of the colony and demanded a payment of $2 million on board. If they chased the helicopter, they threatened to kill the hostages.

Meanwhile, the hostages claimed they had managed to assemble an IED in the colony and threatened to detonate it.
