Media – Up to 2 million people without power in Russia’s Primorsky Krai – people in panic

A massive power outage occurred in Russia’s Primorsky Krai.

According to media reports, more than 1.8 million people are still without electricity. According to the Far East Network Power Distribution Company, the cause of the accident was a technical failure of the power plant equipment in the Primorsky Krai region.

In Vladivostok and some other cities in the region, ATMs and traffic lights did not work, trains and electric trains did not work, people were trapped in elevators, and hospitals, homes and shopping malls were without power, Meduza magazine wrote.

“There is a total power outage in Vladivostok. Local people are in panic. Dozens of people are still trapped in elevators,” Telegram channel SHOT wrote.

The Russian government promised to eliminate the results within an hour.
