NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he hopes Ukraine will join the alliance within the next 10 years. Stoltenberg spoke about this in an interview with Germany’s Deutsche Presse-Agentur, according to Ukrainian media.

Asked about the possibility that the alliance could expand over the next decade, Stoltenberg replied: “I would really like Ukraine to be an ally.”

At the same time, NATO Secretary General stressed the importance of providing more military assistance to Ukraine.

“The stronger our support, the more long-term commitment we make, the faster this war can end,” Stoltenberg said.
