The Telavi District Court fully accepted the evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office and found the defendant guilty of aggravated intentional murder committed by a group in the village of Veliskikh.

The Attorney General’s Office released information on the matter.

According to their report, the evidence examined during the trial proved that on January 18, 2023, in the village of Veliskikh, Gurjany District, the two men, motivated by revenge based on past conflicts, inflicted physical harm on the victim, stabbed him in the body with a blunt instrument and then killed him.

After that, the defendants buried the murdered man in a well near the Great Liskich irrigation canal and took away his cell phone, according to the prosecutor’s office.

“After investigating the case, law enforcement officers found the body of the deceased in the well on May 25, 2023.

The detainee was charged with aggravated, premeditated murder and theft. The Tel Aviv District Court found him fully guilty and sentenced him to 17 years’ imprisonment.

As for the second defendant, by a verdict dated February 23, 2024, the Tel Aviv District Court found him also guilty of premeditated murder and collective theft, among other aggravated circumstances, and sentenced him to 17 years in prison.
