Inspectors of the Adjara regional branch of the State Grain Agency conducted an unscheduled inspection of the “Givis Shaurma Nakverchhalze” (Miss: Aghmashenebeli N416) in Sashorme, Kobuleti city.

⚠️The national control was carried out based on the notification received by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention regarding 8 people suspected of food poisoning.

❎ The inspection revealed that the operator was not registered in the Register of Economic Activities and had a business at the same address and did not have the mandatory recognition from the National Food Agency. Therefore, the facility was fined and recommended for non-critical non-conformities in accordance with Article 65 Part 1 and Article 65 Part 3 of the Food/Animal Feed Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection Code.

🥩🔬 Within the framework of monitoring, food samples are collected from the facilities and sent to accredited laboratories for microbiological studies.

🔜 The National Food Agency will inform the public of more information after receiving the laboratory research results.
