ITC02 wins the 2024 Robocon competition hosted by TVK – ABU Cambodia

The ITC02 team from the Polytechnic of Cambodia won first place in the 11th Cambodia Robot Competition 2024, earning the opportunity to represent Cambodia at the International Robot Competition to be held in Vietnam in August this year.

Following closely behind were the NPIC02 team and NPIC01 team from the National Institute of Technology of Cambodia, which took second and third place respectively.

The event, hosted by Cambodian National Television (TVK) at the Morodok Techo National Stadium, was hosted by Information Minister Neth Pheaktra, Labour and Vocational Training Minister Heng Sour, and Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Hem Vanndy.

This year’s competition saw nine teams from five top educational institutions, including the National Polytechnic of Cambodia, the National Technical Training Institute, the Digital Technology Institute of Cambodia, the Polytechnic of Cambodia and the National University of Management.

The Cambodia Robotics Competition aims to enhance students’ knowledge and practical skills in engineering and automation while promoting the development of the country’s industrial and automation sectors.

In the last competition, the Asian Broadcasting Union Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2023 (ABU ROBOCON 2023) held in Cambodia, the team from Toyohashi University of Technology in Japan won the championship, while teams from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and China won the runner-up.
