Israeli occupation forces have arrested at least 30 Palestinians, including children and former prisoners, from the occupied West Bank in the past 24 hours.
The Directorate for Prisoners and Former Prisoners Affairs and the Prisoners’ Club said in a joint statement that the arrests were concentrated in Ramallah, Jenin and Hebron governorates, with the remainder in Qalqila governorates, Bethlehem, Nablus and Jericho and Tubas.
Furthermore, the occupying forces continue to carry out widespread incursions and destruction campaigns in governorates, refugee camps and towns, accompanied by the destruction and vandalism of Palestinian homes and severe beatings of detainees and their families.
The statement noted that the number of arrests in the West Bank since the start of Israel’s incursion into the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year has risen to about 9,580, noting that these include those arrested at home, passing through military checkpoints, those forced to surrender under pressure and those taken hostage.
The occupation forces continue to carry out a systematic campaign of arrests, one of the most prominent established policies, which escalated after 7 October in an unprecedented manner, not only in terms of the number of detainees but also in terms of the number of crimes committed.
