The Israeli military carried out an airstrike on a vehicle in a convoy carrying humanitarian aid in the southern Gaza Strip.

How it is communicated Vesti.az Al Jazeera quoted TASS as saying.

According to unconfirmed reports, five people were killed in an attack on a convoy carrying medicine and fuel to a hospital in Rafah. The aid delivery was organized by the US charity Anera.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the militants tried to take control of one of the convoy’s vehicles, which the IDF attacked, eliminating the threat of a hijacking of the humanitarian convoy. There were no casualties among Anera or security forces, according to the army’s press service.

Anera’s representative to Palestine, Sandra Rashid, called the attack “shocking.” She denied the military’s claim that it was trying to seize the convoy, adding that several people from a transport company working with Anera were killed.

The airstrike on the convoy came a day after Israeli soldiers opened fire on vehicles of the United Nations World Food Program, Al Jazeera reported.
