An Israeli drone strike on the town of Jenin in the occupied West Bank has killed two Palestinians, identified as resistance commanders.
The Qassam Brigades said in a statement that West Bank commanders Rafat al-Dawasi and Ahmed Abu Ala were killed in “an assassination attempt” in Jenin on Saturday night.
Witnesses said an Israeli military drone attacked a civilian vehicle traveling in the town, causing it to catch fire, according to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The brigade said Dawasi was from the village of Sirat Haritiya, while Abu Olla was from the village of Aqaba.
“They were responsible for planning and executing several high-profile operations, most notably the bombing of Namer’s vehicle in Jenin on June 27, 2024, the complex triple ambush near the village of Al-Mutila on July 23, 2024, and the Al-Aghwar operation on August 11, 2024,” the movement said.
Dozens of people detained
