Valencia head coach Ruben Baraja appeared to suggest goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will not be heading to Liverpool.
Mamardashvili has been linked with Liverpool in recent days and weeks, but he is a goalkeeper for the Georgian national team.
Liverpool are looking for a back-up to Alisson and Mamardashvili is on their wish list.
Baraja seems adamant that Mamardashvili would like to play in Spain and is not focused on a move to Anfield.
“It’s very lonely. He’s our player and as long as that doesn’t change I won’t discuss the rumours.” Baraha said.
“He’s here, he’s ready to participate. We can’t talk about a situation that’s not part of reality.”
