Baku, Azerbaijan, July 13. Iran’s President-elect Massoud Pezeshkian said the United States had illegally withdrawn from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). trend Report.

“The United States also needs to face reality and understand once and for all that Iran does not and will not respond to pressure,” he wrote in an article published in Iranian media. “We joined the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in good faith in 2015 and have fully implemented our obligations. But the United States illegally withdrew from the agreement, motivated by purely domestic quarrels and revenge, causing hundreds of billions of dollars in losses to our economy and inflicting untold suffering, death and destruction on the Iranian people through the imposition of extraterritorial unilateral sanctions – especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Masoud Pezeshkian added: “The United States and its Western allies abused the nuclear non-proliferation mechanism and fabricated the crisis of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.”

“They openly violate their own intelligence assessment and use it to exert constant pressure on our people, while they actively support and continue to support Israel’s nuclear weapons. Israel is an apartheid regime, a coercive aggressor, a non-member of the NPT, and a known illegal nuclear weapons possessor,” he noted.

At the same time, at the end of 2020, the Iranian parliament passed a strategic plan to deal with sanctions on the grounds that Iran had failed to implement the Iran nuclear agreement signed with the six countries and imposed sanctions on Iran.

According to the decision of the Iranian parliament, Iran will stop implementing the additional measures and additional protocols to the Iran nuclear agreement from February 23, and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s supervision mechanism will be reduced by 20% to 30%.
