International charity launches Dh4 million project in Senegal

DAKAR, 26th July, 2024 (WAM) — A delegation led by Dr. Khaled Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization (ICO), visited remote villages and regions in Senegal, following which the organization announced the launch of charity projects worth AED4 million in Senegal.

Dr. Al Khaja expressed his gratitude for the support of the UAE Embassy in Senegal in ensuring the success of their mission as part of the UAE’s wider humanitarian efforts.

The newly announced projects include drilling 21 wells, building 17 mosques and establishing five Quranic memorization centers.

In addition, five integrated charitable complexes will be built, each with a well, a mosque and a Quran memorization center. Other initiatives include the distribution of zakat, provision of food to Muslim villages and distribution of Qurans.
