Integrate airport routes and operations

Air Nostrum will continue to operate flights from Andorra’s La Seu de Urgell airport to Madrid and Palma de Mallorca in 2025 and 2026, after the government put the two routes out to tender. We must not forget that this new competition aims to guarantee the viability of the line in the absence of sufficient occupancy on the flights, reaffirming Andorra’s commitment to the Altuguílón facility, while it allows us to verify that the airport can function properly, as confirmed by the fact that two companies submitted bids for the route, compared to the launch of the Madrid route, where only one company competed. Obviously, you have to go step by step and do not want to stretch your arms too far beyond your sleeves. Granted, the pilot of the Palma line was very good and ultimately cost the public treasury nothing, but it remains to be seen how the line will now operate, will it operate all year round, and how the route will develop. The Spanish capital, which has been used by 18,600 people since its launch. Nevertheless, despite the goal of connecting Andorra’s La Seu de Urgell airport to Paris, we must praise the Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility for putting the brakes on the project, who has given priority to consolidating the two lines.
