The educational center “El Libertador” is located 5 minutes from the capital of the city of Curillo, along the main road 32 or 4 km; the main campus has 130 students, from pre-school to sixth grade, who are taken care of by 5 teachers, who form a working group of 27 sixth grade undergraduates, coordinated by teacher Fernando Devia. Audri Yuneidy Quintero saw the importance of implementing and strengthening audiovisual media such as radio, newspapers, television and websites.

The project aims to create space for the use of free time, expression and development of communication and technological skills and abilities through the use of new information and communication technologies, the creation of digital content and the promotion of culture; thus, the television magazine “Al día con Curillo” was born, which is broadcast every Friday at 6:30 pm on Channel 15, under the auspices of Tv Cable Curillo, and aims to inform the community about the main events of the week, as well as the newspaper “Al día con Curillo”, which is published monthly.

In addition to communication, the use of radio and the Internet are other strategies to promote knowledge, belonging, and concern for the environment.

In addition to the “Liberator” Education Center, the project has the support of the government of Mr. Ruben Muñoz, the mayor of the city, who also ensures the good use of technology… to bring progress to everyone…
