The event is themed “Protecting the Red and White” and includes a 5km run for adults and a 3km run for youth.

“This is a good partnership between the Indonesian Olympic Committee and the French Embassy in Indonesia,” Indonesian Olympic Committee President Raja Sapta Oktohari told reporters.

The events of this mini Olympic Games include track and field (60m sprint, 4x60m relay), archery (standard bow, recurve bow), 3-on-3 basketball, 5-on-5 football, T1 rugby, etc.

The event committee also hosted a demonstration event, as well as sandbag throwing, parkour and robotics demonstrations.

Speaking about Indonesia’s preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Oktohari explained that the national team has entered the final stages.

Some athletes have already qualified for the Olympics, while others are awaiting qualification results.

“Our focus is on making sure the athletes who have qualified are ready to acclimate in Paris. Some have already gone,” he said.

Oktohari had previously reiterated that the Indonesian Olympic Committee is committed to helping qualified athletes overcome challenges and perform at their best at the Paris Olympics.
