Independence Day 2022: Modi government issues advisory for August 15 celebrations

The country is celebrating its 75th Independence Day with great fanfare. Meanwhile, the central government has issued an important warning regarding the celebrations of the national holiday, Independence Day, on August 15. In fact, the country is reporting an average of more than 15,000 coronavirus cases every day and the central government has asked states to ensure that Independence Day celebrations are held without large gatherings and everyone adheres to Covid-19 guidelines.
