More than a hundred employees of the Port of Lobito, including the Chairman of the Board, executives, directors, consultants and technicians, received certificates for participating in the “Team Integration as a Transformation Element” course.
The training, organized by the National Consumer Protection Institute (INADEC) in partnership with Porto, took place from the 19th to the 23rd of this month, with a workload of six hours per day. This activity is part of the National Consumer Education Program, which is in line with the government’s guidelines to improve consumer services in all provinces of Angola.
During the event, INADEC Deputy General Manager Anta Webba praised the decision of the Porto do Lobito Board of Directors to invest in the training and qualifications of its employees to prepare them for new challenges, and stressed that the objectives of the course are to clarify to participants the importance of teamwork, organizational culture and consumer focus.
Furthermore, INADEC expressed its willingness to act as a bridge for future training actions for workers at the Port of Lobito.
Celso Rosas, PCA of the Port of Lobito, expressed his gratitude and praised the lecturers’ method of transferring knowledge during the five-day training, stressing the importance of preparing the staff to achieve the desired results and become an international reference port.
The manager also mentioned that staff will continue to be trained to adapt to the new port management model, that of Porto Senhorio.
Finally, Celso Rosas presented the INADEC trainers with souvenirs in recognition of the success of the work they had carried out, which immediately won the trainers’ gratitude.
