In a few days, Imane Khalif became a symbol of the fight against injustice and against the global far right and various racists who do not recognize that African women are able to win medals in the Olympic boxing games.

In a rare move, his case was even brought to the UN Security Council, where the Russian representative tried to use him to implicate Russia in its war against the West, but he was immediately corrected by the Algerian representative.

Eddie Hearn condemns ‘unfair’ campaign

For a well-known British promoter, Iman Khalif is a “talented boxer with real marketing potential”.

The Algerian boxer has seen a surge in membership on his Instagram account, from around 30,000 members before the 2024 Paris Olympics to more than 3.1 million after the Games.

“Yes, I would sign it if the facts were proven, and there is no reason to stop her from fighting between women,” said the famous British team owner, who condemned the online harassment campaign suffered by Imane Khalif as “unfair.”

According to the IBA analysis, the event took root during the World Boxing Championships in New Delhi in March 2023. Iman Khalif was disqualified from the final, sparking a heated controversy.
