In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful; The Islamic calendar has 12 months, starting with the month of Muharram and ending with the month of Zulhija.

Allah Almighty has established twelve months in the Quran. Verse 36 of the Quran says: “The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (a year), as He established it on the day He created the heavens and the earth.”

All days and times for prayer are good, but Islam places special emphasis on certain days and times. The tenth day of the month of Muharram, called Yawmul Ashura, is a blessed day for Muslims to pray to Allah. Locals call it Tamxarit.

Prophet Muhammad advised Muslims to fast on the ninth and tenth day of Muharram. Allah rewarded some of his prophets on the tenth day of this month. It is said that on the tenth day of Muharram, Adam was created; Ibrahim was thrown into the fire by his enemies and was saved; Prophet Moses was saved by Pharaoh; Prophet Yusuf was thrown into a well by his enemies and was saved; on the tenth day of Muharram, Prophet Solomon was placed on the throne by the Almighty. The eve and the day are days of prayer. On the ninth day of Muharram, you can recite the Quran, pray (Nafila) and Zikr (repeatedly calling the name of Allah).

On the second day, you can recite the IKLAS Chapter (KHULHUWA ALLAHU) 1000 times. Recite the following 70 times:

Hasbiyala Wani Mar Makilu I am Mar Maullah Wani Man Nasser.

SUBNAHALAA HE MIL AL MEEZANI WA MUNTA HAL ILME WAMBLAHULRIDAA WAZEE NATUL ARSHE LAA MAL JAA.

OR I AM ALREADY IN SUBHAANAL OF ADDADA SHAFI WAL WITR, UNLESS ALLUKA YES ME, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO EVERYTHING.

You are the only one who does not have the merits of WAKEELU and the merits of MANNASEERU.

You can pray to Allah in any language. It is recommended to take a holy bath (JANABA) on the tenth day, cut your nails and shave your hair. You should also visit scholars, the elderly and the sick and ask Allah to forgive your sins.

Now that the Muslim New Year has begun, it is necessary to remind wealthy Muslims of the importance of Zakaat, which requires them to donate a portion of their wealth to those in need.

The Prophet emphasized that giving alms is for purification and protection of wealth. Giving alms is for keeping away diseases, as stated in the Hadith. Therefore, it is necessary for us to give alms, pray, so that we can be protected from evil and the devil.

What is Nisab? It is the amount that should be deducted for Zakat. For every 200 dirhams, 5 dirhams is a suitable amount. Those who are eligible for Zakat must be poor.
