John Hayes may have saved lives when he rushed to the scene of a 17-year-old boy stabbing multiple children and adults in Southport, England, on Monday.
Hayes was stabbed in the leg while trying to tackle the attacker. When Hayes’ accomplice approached, the boy ran away.
Hayes said the issue should not be about him at all, but about the three girls who died in the attack and the people who were injured. He is not a hero.
