The Israeli military said today that “around a hundred” warplanes “targeted and destroyed thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers” in an airstrike launched to prevent the Lebanese Shiite movement from launching a large-scale attack on Israel.
Hezbollah said it had launched “numerous drones” and “more than 320” Katyusha rockets at 11 Israeli military bases and the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights in retaliation for the killing of a member of its military wing following the July 30 Israeli attack on Beirut.
