The “I Love Coronie” monument in Coconut District was completed in less than five months. Disclosure One of the two crested ibises on the monument had its upright part deliberately broken.
The incident sparked outrage among local residents and promoters. We will do everything we can to repair the damaged pillars as soon as possible.
The memorial was donated to the Colonie community by Dolson Funeral Company.
According to the initiators, the monument is not only for the people of Colonia, but also for the whole of Suriname and even abroad, when tourists will come to take pictures of the monument.
