Good news for those waiting for education grants. More than 94,000 grants have been allocated for the upcoming academic year. Last year it was 88,000. In addition to this, there are many quotas. This spring, there are discounts for graduates in regions where floods occurred and a state of emergency was declared. And 300 differentiated grants are allocated to the majors “Pedagogy” and “Social Sciences”. That is, 50% of the tuition fees are paid by the state.

For the next academic year, 2,919 grants for doctoral studies, more than 13,000 for master’s degrees, and 78,219 for bachelor’s degrees have been allocated. Of these, 20%, or more than 12,000, will be given to graduates from flood-prone areas. Up to 35% of the quota will be allocated to rural youth. 5% of the grants are given to large families and young people who intend to study under the “Serpin” program. In addition, there are quotas for several categories of citizens. This year, a new type of education grant was also introduced.

– This year we started to pilot differentiated subsidies. For this purpose, the state allocated 300 different subsidies, 150 for teaching professions and 150 for social sciences.
Graduates who are 1-2 points away from a full scholarship will receive a differentiated scholarship. That is, the state pays 50% of their tuition. So there is always an opportunity for young people who are eager to learn. By the way, the amount of scholarships has been increased for this academic year. The list of recipients of the education grant will be announced by August 10.
