The Houthi terrorist militia has begun a new inventory of real estate, residential buildings and shops in Ibb province with the aim of collecting new fiscal taxes.

Local sources said the Houthi terrorist militia is seeking to impose new taxes on property owners in Ibb city and other parts of the province through a clearance process in the coming days and weeks.

The source said that the Houthi armed council, under the guidance of its leader Rashid Abu Lahoum, who was appointed by the militias as finance minister of the militia government, which is not recognized internationally, came to the city of Ibb and met with the leaders of the local council and the heads of neighborhoods loyal to it, with the aim of increasing the province’s revenue and imposing new taxes.

The Houthi Armed Council called on community leaders and sheikhs to complete a new comprehensive inventory process of all residential and commercial shops in the governorate to collect more royalties and taxes from the owners, as owners generally complained that the Houthis were imposing taxes under different names from time to time on multiple residential and commercial shops.
