Horse and arrows… a true symbol of the journey of horsewoman Noura Al-Jabr

Saudi female rider Noura Al-Jabr rode a horse for the first time at the age of nine, and over the years she has mastered many skills and arts in the process of riding, such as the art of archery, picking up stakes, swinging a sword, etc. The story begins when her mother discovered her love for horses and equestrianism and supported her by enrolling her in a specialized center at an early age, and she completed the journey of learning riding, dressage, taking care of horses, and taking care of them, thus improving her skills until she was able to master the art of archery, picking up nails, and swinging a sword on horseback.

Noura Jabr’s love for equestrian sports does not stop there, she works hard day after day to improve her skills, and with the tireless efforts of the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Equestrian Federation, and their commitment to the development of various sports, she attended the Saudi Equestrian Field Trainer’s Training Course and was baptized as the first female trainer in the Kingdom of horseback shooting, and she is also a certified trainer of pick-stakes. Teaching male and female riders about horseback sports, such as archery and pick-stakes, her courses are very popular, especially among girls.

Given the challenges and preparation that the nature of these competitive sports brings to the arena, the passion and self-confidence of the Saudi rider “Noura” has led him to travel abroad to participate in several international forums, including the Hashemite Petra Championships in the Kingdom of Jordan, representing the Kingdom as the first rider to the Saudi Women’s National Team, a position she secured in advance, and she also performed various martial arts and equestrian skills live at several local competitions and events, most notably the Purebred Arabian Horse Kingdom Championship “Kahila” in the city of Riyadh, in addition to participating in the exhibition at the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, the opening ceremony of the Princess Noura Competition, the Shasha Festival in the city of Khobar, and the sacrificial procession of the Ministry of Interior.

“My colleagues and I, as well as those in the field of equestrian and shooting arts, are working to revive this ancient heritage and consolidate Arab identity,” said female rider Noura Al-Jabr in an interview with (SPA). “I love to show my skills in equestrian and shooting sports. I feel proud of my land and my Arab identity, because all these sports are a source of pride, pride and authenticity. I strive to develop myself more in the field of equestrianism. I am always keen to appear in traditional clothes that match the beauty of the Arabian horse, the environment of the Arabian Peninsula and its authentic history,” she added.
