Homecoming – Spain beats England in Euro 2024 final

Spain is the 2024 European Championship champion.

Michael Oyarzabal’s winning goal in the 86th minute sealed the title for Spain and proved to be another major disappointment for England in this tournament.

Spain took the lead in the 47th minute when Lamine Yamal passed the ball perfectly to Nico Williams, who fired a precise shot into Jordan Pickford’s goal.

Substitute Cole Palmer brought life to England again in this tournament, firing a brilliant long-range shot into the bottom left corner of the Spanish goal.

However, Spain dominated large parts of the match, with multiple chances from prodigy Yamar being the highlight.

In the 87th minute of the game, England seized their chance when left-back Marc Cucurella sent in a wonderful cross that Oyarzabal narrowly avoided being offside before scoring.

Spain eventually won their fourth European Championship, while England once again failed to achieve any success on the international stage.
