His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Mohammed Al-Nama said in his Friday sermon, delivered at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Mosque: The wisdom of Allah Almighty, and His qualities of forgiveness, mercy and pardon, requires His servants to commit sins, transgressions and wrongdoings, and then they return to God, repent, regret and regret, so God forgives and absolves them with His grace, generosity and mercy, glory be to Him.

He added: Who is the one who has not made a mistake, who has not committed an error, who has not sinned? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explained the nature and character of the Muslim servants. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah pray and grant him peace, said: “If you had not sinned, my soul would be in His hands.” , God will take you and bring a group of people who will sin and ask God for forgiveness, so He will pardon them, according to Atirmidhi and Ahmad, may peace and blessings be upon him, he said, “Every son of Adam.” made a mistake, and the best of those who made mistakes are those who repent. “

Khatib stressed that one of the greatest blessings of Allah Almighty for His servants is to open the door of repentance for them, making it a true dawn, a new beginning of the journey back to Allah Almighty and following His straight path, the grace of God upon His servants who repent and break before Him, when He descends upon him and accepts his repentance and removes his sins, as stated in the hadith of the Prophet Ibn Majah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: “He who repents of his sins is like one who has no sins.” Not only that, but Almighty God, in His generosity and grace, turns the evil deeds after repentance into good deeds, “Except for those who repent, believe and do good deeds, God will change them. Their evil deeds will become good deeds, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”

Sheikh Abdullah al-Nama mentioned that sincere repentance is part of perfect faith and good Islam, which removes the pain in the chest, removes the anxiety of the soul and opens the mercy of Almighty Allah Tabarani to the repenter. It is narrated on the authority of Uqba ibn Amer, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: “O Messenger of Allah, one of us has committed a sin.” He said: This is written for him. He said: He forgives him and repents for it. He said: This is written for him. Say: Then he asks for forgiveness and repents, and he said: He forgives him and repents for it until you are tired. “

Al-Khatib noted: Many people cannot repent because of long hopes, they are deceived by procrastination and delay, they forget that life is in the hands of Allah Almighty, “No one knows what tomorrow will earn” Al-Hasab Al-Basri – may God have mercy on him – said, “Indeed, the gods of a people hope for forgiveness until they leave this world without repentance.” One of them said: I thought God was good, he lied! If he thought well, he would do well. So, my Muslim brothers, fear Allah and know that the Jihad of the soul is long and arduous, full of hardships and difficulties, so you must go to Allah Almighty in the ranks of the repentant until your feet step into the Garden of Bliss. Stand at the gate of God Almighty, submissive and humble, raise your hands to Him in brokenness and repentance, and call on Him in hope and repentance.

My God, do not torture me, for I confess what happened to me
If you forgive me and have good thoughts, I have no choice but my hope and your forgiveness.
I have made so many mistakes in sin, but you are the giver of my favor and grace.

And bring the good news of forgiveness from God Almighty, as He promised to His repentant servants who seek forgiveness, for God Almighty stretches out His hand during the night so that sinners who are sinning during the day may repent, and He stretches out His hand during the day so that sinners who are sinning during the night may repent, until the sun rises in the west.

So, servants of God, fear God, and know that may God have mercy on you, and repentance to the Almighty God is the reason why He loves His servants, is satisfied with His servants, and accepts His servants, and no one can forgive sins except God, and no one can be saved from his deeds except by the mercy and grace of God. We have all sinned, and no one is free from error, but the best among us are those who hasten to repent and hasten. He is encouraged by his steps, encouraged by his tears, guided by the fear of the Almighty God, and helped by good people and righteous companions.

He added: By studying the Book of Almighty Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, it is known that the conditions for accepting repentance include: sincere repentance for the sake of Almighty Allah so that it does not seek worldly life and does not seek praise or praise from the world, then giving up the sin, then regretting doing so, resolving not to return to it, and then returning the right to its owner, if the sin was the right of someone else, and repentance must occur before the sun rises from the west, before death comes.

Sheikh Abdul Nama pointed out that one of the signs of the effectiveness of repentance is that the servant is better after repentance than before repentance. He does more good deeds, keeps company with the righteous, is zealous to abandon sinful deeds, stays away from those who stray from the right path, and fear accompanies him, so he is not immune to God’s deception.
