Higher education can transform lives, open doors and create a better future for individuals and society as a whole. Yet, for many students with disabilities, accessibility remains a significant challenge.

At UoPeople, we believe that higher education should be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability or cognitive ability.

That’s why we offer online courses – there are many ways that online learning can benefit people with disabilities. Here are just a few of them:

🎓 Flexible learning environment. Students can access course materials, lectures, and assignments at their own pace and in the comfort of their own home.

🎓 Reduce physical barriers: Reducing physical barriers makes it easier for students to participate in their education without the added stress of navigating campus facilities that may not be fully accessible.

🎓 Supportive technology: Tools like text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and alternative input devices can help students engage more effectively in lessons.
