Hezbollah announced last night that it had fired dozens of Katyusha rockets into northern Israel. The Iran-backed group claimed that their recent attack on Beit Hillel in northern Israel was in retaliation for Israeli attacks on Kfaqra and Deir Silyan in southern Lebanon, which reportedly caused civilian casualties.
Also on Sunday, an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in the southern border village of Rablatin, but caused no casualties.
Israel expected a response from Hezbollah after a daring Israeli strike on a southern Beirut suburb on Tuesday killed Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukur. The attack, which took place in a densely populated residential area, also killed three women, two children and an Iranian military adviser and injured more than 80 people.
